New SAT info is out.

Here are the average national scores for the SAT:

Reading 505
Math 518
Writing 497

Total: 1520

Georgia is ....well, you can guess. I'm guessing students need to aim for a 1700 or so.

DeKalb Libaries' database of the month is Learning Express Library:

"LearningExpress Library provides a completely interactive online learning platform of practice tests and tutorial course series designed to help patrons, students, and adult learners succeed on the academic or licensing tests they must pass. You'll get immediate scoring, complete answer explanations, and an individualized analysis of your results."

Seems pretty useful, huh? Subjects include SAT, GED, AP, various academic skills improvement tutorials (math, Spanish, etc.), TOEFL, and writing skills. You need a Dekalb library card to access it, but you can get a free 30-day trial even if you don't have one.
